The 17 fires that happened in Moldova during the last 24 hours, two of which in Chisinau, caused four deaths, Dorina Cruc, spokeswoman for the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service, has told Info-Prim Neo. According to Dorina Cruc, the major causes of fire include non-observance of the anti-fire rules when using stoves and reckless smoking. Twenty-six fires have occurred in Moldova during the last two days. They resulted in six deaths.
