Seven villages of Causeni and Stefan Voda districts remained without electricity as a result of the unfavorable weather conditions. Specialized teams work to restore the supply of power there, IPN reports.
Press officer of the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service Diana Turcan said the rescuers were called to help tow out ten units of transport that got stuck in snowdrifts on the national roads. Two of them were trucks, while another two were minibuses with 40 persons aboard. Those who experience difficulties on the road can seek help on 901.
Another about 1,000 people found refuge from the cold in the tents put up in the districts of Chisinau.
