Seven vehicles that were in a car maintenance station located in Ciocana district of Chisinau were destroyed by fire on June 5. The flames covered an area of about 300 square meters. According to the head of the Chisinau Emergencies Division Vitalie Grabovschi, it was an arson attack, IPN reports.

In the June 6 meeting of officials of Chisinau services and divisions, Vitalie Grabovschi said it was established that a unit of transport was prepared for being burned there, but the perpetrators didn’t manage to do it.

Five firefighting vehicles travelled to the scene to extinguish the fire. The firemen put out the fire and took out the vehicles that were inside the station when the fire started. The fire didn’t affect other buildings located nearby. No one was hurt.

In another development, Vitalie Grabovschi said a short circuit is the preliminary cause of the fire that happened in a building situated in the Central Market of Chisinau two weeks ago. That fire damaged about 1,200 square meters of the roof and things inside the upper floor.
