Seven Moldovans to return home from Japan through Ukraine's Embassy
Seven Moldovan citizens, including children, who are now in Japan are to get to Kiev by a special flight tomorrow, at about 11pm. The Government of Ukraine will cover the related costs. The action is coordinated by the Embassy of Ukraine in Tokyo. The Foreign Ministry of Moldova will be taking steps to bring them to Chisinau, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communique from the Ministry.
According to the communique, the Ministry is permanently in contact with employees of the Ukrainian Embassy in Tokyo and with representatives of other embassies so as to identify solutions to repatriate and help the Moldovan nationals if the general situation worsens.
Two Moldovans have been repatriated from Japan with the assistance of the International Organization for Migration's Representative Office in Chisinau.
As Moldova does not have an embassy in Japan, the Moldovans can seek help from the following embassies:
