Seven personalities working in the fields of culture, arts, sport, filology and journalism collected the National Award 2021 to the value of 100,000 lei in Chisinau in the evening of November 10, IPN reports.
The award was handed over to: plastic artist Gennady Jaloba, for special merits in creating and promoting national culture; Petre Neamțu, artistic director and first conductor of the Folk Music Orchestra “Folclor” of the National Philharmonic “Sergey Lunkevich”, People’s Artist, for remarkable achievements in promoting the folklore and developing the national music sector; Anastasia Nikita, international women’s freestyle sport master, for results in sport and for the promotion of Moldova’s image abroad.
The National Award 2021 was also offered to Tudor Cârlan, emeritus freestyle coach, for exceptional contribution to promoting Olympics values; Maria Shleahtitski, writer, doctor habilitate in philology, university lecturer, for the poems included in the volumes “Fragile” and “Our Love is a Beautiful Lady”; Vitalie Ciobanu, writer, journalist, editor-in-chief of Contrafort Magazine , for the prose volume “Days after Oreste”, and to the staff of “Mihai Eminescu” National Theater, for prodigious activity at the national and international levels.
Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilița, who handed over the National Award 2021, said that the Republic of Moldova has enormous potential to become a renowned supplier of high-quality cultural products on the European market.
