Seven persons suffered injuries in an accident that involved a minibus running on route No. 166. It happened at about 8:30 this morning on N. Milescu-Spataru St in Chisinau’s Ciocana district.
Contacted by IPN, head of the Chisinau Police Division Adrian Jovmir said the minibus driver stopped the vehicle to take a passenger and was hit in the back by a large truck. The police ordered that the two drivers take the blood alcohol test. The vehicles will be subject to a technical overhaul.
Petru Cravet, who is responsible for relations with the media at the Chisinau Emergency Medicine Center, said there are two children among those hurt. They suffered open leg fractures and were transported to the Municipal Children’s Hospital “Valentin Ignatenco”. They were admitted to the reanimatology section. The other persons hurt, who are all minibus passengers, are undergoing examinations.
The minibus driver is from Horesti village of Ialoveni district. The truck was driven by a resident of Rybnitsa town. Both of the drivers are aged 29.
