The public organization EveryChild Moldova and Teleradio-Moldova Company launched a campaign to increase public awareness and raise funds for purchasing a house for seven children from Albinetul Nou village of Falesti district, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communiqué from EveryChild Moldova. The children remained without parents and home. Their mother died from an incurable disease, while their father abandoned them. The children, the eldest of whom is 19, while the youngest is four, now live in the house of their aunt in Albinetul Nou. The house that accommodates 12 persons has only three small and dark rooms where there are no conveniences. Nobody has a stable job in this family. The social benefit is the only source of income. Two of the members of the family are persons with special needs and require specialized medical care. “The situation of these children cannot leave the people indifferent. They live in very difficult conditions. We must mobilize and provide a shelter to them,” said Galina Casian, head of the theoretical high school “Albinetul Vechi”. Acting mayor of Albinetul Vechi Sergiu Colesnic said the local authorities did everything possible to help the family, but the funds designed for such purposes are limited.
