Seven twelfth graders of the lyceums of Chisinau municipality were awarded by the municipality in the Graduate 2016 event, where the students with the best standing during 12 years of studies receive prizes. The fourth event of the kind, organized by the General Division of Education, Youth and Sport, involved over 800 graduates from all the municipal lyceums, IPN reports.
The graduates were awarded in such categories as Best Graduate in Humanities/Exact Sciences, Best Innovator Graduate, Best Volunteer Graduate and others. These received diplomas and money awards of 5,000 lei.
The Division’s head Tatiana Nagnibeda-Tverdohleb said that through this event they want to wish the graduates good luck in exams and to remind them that everything in life is achieved by work. The awardees were chosen at the suggestion of school inspectors and the administration of the lyceums. These achieved good results at national and/or international levels.
Diana Marusic, of the Theoretical Lyceum “Ion Creanga”, became the Best Innovator Student. She recently returned with a special award from an international contest of scientific projects held in Arizona. The young woman said that this award event is for her the culmination of the 12 years of studies.
National singers and bands, among whom Mariana Bulicanu, Alex Calancea Band and Pasha Parfeni, gave a concert for the graduates.
According to the General Division of Education, Youth and Sport, the 84 lyceums of Chisinau municipality this year will produce 5,300 graduates.
