The mobile cultural heritage will be given a special status. The MPs gave a first reading to a bill that provides for the institution of the Service for the Monitoring and Circulation of Mobile Cultural Heritage, IPN reports.
Under the bill, among the duties of the Service will be to examine, classify, digitize, archive files and to supplement and manage the National Register of Mobile Cultural Heritage. The goal of the legislative proposal is to facilitate the citizens’ access to services to assess mobile cultural goods and the issuing of export authorizations and certificates, import notifications and to ensure efficient cooperation with the Customs Service so as to monitor the movement of mobile cultural heritage.
The assessment of the mobile cultural heritage will cover the following areas: archeology, paleontology, heraldry, numismatics, ethnography, plastic and decorative arts, old books, manuscripts, epoch cars, etc.
The bill was drafted by the Ministry of Culture in accordance with the culture development strategy “Culture 2020” and is to be given a second reading.
