About 500 service members donated blood within a campaign entitled “A Way to Life” on April 3. The event was aimed at encouraging society to donate blood so as to save lives, IPN reports.

The Ministry of Defense set up blood collection centers in the garrisons of Chisinau, Cahul, Balti and Ungheni. Minister Eugeniu Sturza called on all the residents of the country to join the National Army service members and donate blood to show that life is given priority during the week of goods deeds.

The campaign “A Way to Life” forms part of the action plan of the national transfusion security and blood provision program for 2017-2021.
