Serious accident in Tohatin. One of the 6 patients is in intensive care

Update: The six people injured in the accident near the Tohatin commune involving a route bus were transported to the Institute of Emergency Medicine. IMU spokeswoman Dorina Arsene told IPN that three of the patients were examined and were allowed to go home. Three others were hospitalized - two in the profile ward and one in the intensive care ward.

Original news: A route bus collided with a minibus near the commune of Tohatin, on the way toward Vadul lui Voda. The impact was so severe that emergency crews had to perform extractions. Several people were taken to the hospital.

The General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations reports that the 112 emergency call was received around 13:00. A minibus collided with a route bus, and the minibus driver was trapped in the wreckage. Three rescue and firefighting teams arrived on the scene, using specialized equipment to free the trapped individual.

The person removed from the minibus was handed over to medical personnel. Five other people sustained various injuries.

Contacted by IPN, Felicia Rusu, spokesperson for the Urban Bus Park, stated that among the injured were the bus driver and three passengers, all of whom were transported to the hospital by ambulance. The bus involved in the accident serves the municipal route No. 38, “Tighina Street - Cruzesti Village.”

The police have opened an investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the accident in Tohatin.
