Sergiu Sîrbu named vice president of Shor Party

Ex-member of the parliamentary platform “For Moldova”, jurist Sergiu Sîrbu was appointed as the vice president of the Shor Party. In a press release, the party says the decision was taken by the president of the Shor Party Ilan Shor. Sergiu Sîrbu will be in charge of legal and legislative aspects, IPN reports.

The decision is to be confirmed by the National Political Council of the Shor Party that is to hold a meeting soon.

Recently, Ilan Shor said that all the candidates for MP who ran in the July 11 elections on the party’s list will form part of their team. “These are professionals who can contribute to the implementation of the party’s political program and to the solving of the problems faced in the country,” says the press release.

In an interview for a TV channel earlier, Sergiu Sîrbu said he intends to withdraw from politics and does not regret that, serving as an MP, he switched at least four parliamentary groups, arguing an MP is at the service of the people, not of the party.
