The electoral system will not be modified, while the leader of the Democratic Party Vladimir Plahotniuc took a comfortable position in the epicenter of the geopolitical struggle between the East and the West, Sergiu Mocanu, chairman of the People’s Movement “Antimafie”, stated in the talk show “Important” on TVC 21 channel.
“The electoral system will not be changed. Plahotniuc needs neither the uninominal voting system nor the mixed-member electoral system. It was a public stratagem of Plahotniuc. During two months, everyone has spoken about him and attention from other more important problems was diverted. They could vote the mixed-member electoral system to keep up appearances, but this will not be applied in 2018,” stated the politician.
Mocanu considers the opposition made a “necessary evil” of Plahotniuc. “The people took to the streets to sincerely protest, while those who control the protests placed Plahotniuc on a comfortable position in the middle of the geopolitical struggle between the East and the West. Those from the West use the “necessary evil” to stop Dodon, while those from the East to avoid the union with Romania,” stated Mocanu.
The leader of “Antimafie” considers that after the elections of 2018, Igor Dodon could take over, but such a situation will not last long because this will be a weak leader owing to Putin. Also, Vladimir Plahotniuc possesses discrediting information about Igor Dodon and fries him on the pan like a meat croquette. “The fact that Dodon will receive money from Erdogan for repairing the Presidential Building is a bluff. He could get a small sum, but in reality the money will come from Russia, through the agency of “Moldova-Gaz”. All the money that Dodon received from Russia came through “Moldova-Gaz”. Plahotniuc possesses evidence, including of taking bribe for voting Nicolae Timofti President and of how the post of director of “Moldova-Gaz” was sold. When time comes, he will use these proofs. Those from the PSRM have a swindler as a leader,” stated Sergiu Mocanu.
According to the politician, neither the “reign” of Plahotniuc will last long because he could become the target of an assassination attempt or could be arrested in Europe.
Sergiu Mocanu praised the Anticorruption Prosecutor’s Office and the National Anticorruption Center. “The people there started to work according to European standards. Many of them are independent. I do not rule out the possibility that some of the cases were started by order of Plahotniuc, but these cases are real,” he said.
