Sergiu Mocanu, the leader of the People’s Movement “Antimafie”, intends to run in the presidential elections. The politician made the announcement in the talk show “Emphasis on today” on TVR Moldova channel, IPN reports.
“My election campaign will be one of despair. I will campaign without financial resources, but I hope that my voice will be heard,” stated Mocanu.
He noted that the intention of the extraparliamentary parties of the right to designate a common candidate for running in the presidential elections will most probably fail. “Vladimir Plahotniuc will not allow this to win by his levers or one of the persons close to the oligarch will ultimately win the elections,” said Mocanu.
As to the Democratic Party’s candidate for the presidency, Mocanu said that this will definitely be Andrian Candu. “It’s a pity that I cannot bet, but I’m sure that Candu will be the PDM’s candidate,” he stated.
