The national football team of Moldova on January 25 goes to the Training Center in Vadul lui Vodă to start training for a new qualification campaign. Later, the footballers will leave for Turkey where they will play two friendly matches against Bulgaria on January 31 and February 3, IPN reports.
Sergiu Kleshchenko returned to the national team after being replaced by Alexandru Guzun towards the end of the previous qualifying round.
The coach called out the following players: Dumitru Coval (Dacia-Buiucani), Iulian-Sebastian Agachi (Farul, Romania) – goalkeepers; Mihail Țîpac, Ioan-Călin Revenko (both Dacia-Buiucani), Danila Ignatov, Yevgenny Pleshko, Serafim Cojocaru, Nichita Covali (all Sheriff), Denis Ieșanu (Dezembro, Portugal) – fullbacks; Corneliu Cotogoi, Ion Gurulea, Dumitru Bivol (all Dacia-Buiucani), Denis Macalici, Egor Chesnokov (both Sheriff), Alexandru Graur (Zimbru), Denis Zglavoci (Fermana, Italy), Gabriele Balan (San Giacomo Chieri, Italy) – halfbacks; Nicky Kleshchenko (Leiria, Portugal), Vasilii Ștefu (FC Florești), Alexandru Osipov (Sf.Gheorghe), Laur Ghițanu (Zimbru), Eugeniu Gliga (Sheriff) – strikers.
The qualifying draw for the 2023 UEFA European Under-21 Championship will be held in Nyon on January 28.
