Sergey Kleshchenko to train Milsami-Ursidos

Sergey Kleshchenko became the new coach of Milsami-Ursidos Orhei. In a news conference on September 3, he signed a contract for two years and a half with the team that now rank fifth in the National Division, Info-Prim Neo reports. Sergey Kleshchenko replaced Romania’s Gabi Stan, who did not renew his contract with Milsami-Ursidos after the first part of the championship. The negotiations between the club’s administration and Sergey Kleshchenko did not last long. “In order not to endanger the training of the team for the second half of the championship, we had to look for a new coach. We quickly reached an agreement with Sergey Kleshchenko, whom we consider an ambitious coach,” said Petru Jardan, vice president of the club. “I thank the club’s administration for this chance to work for a top Moldovan team that can rich the best results in the championship, and to take part in the European cups,” said the new coach. Sergey Kleshchenko is 39. As a footballer, he played in the championships of Moldova, the Netherlands, Israel, and Russia. He played 69 matches for Moldova’s national squad and scored 11 goals. During the last two years, he trained the U-19 team of Moldova. Petru Jardan voiced hope that Sergey Kleshchenko will manage to fulfill the objectives set for this season. “We still have time to correct the situation so as to take part in the European cups, to rank third in the championship and win the Cup,” he stated. On December 3, the players and technical staff of Milsami-Ursidos went on vacation until January 9, 2012. On January 28, the team will go to train in Turkey for three weeks.
