The candidate at the Chisinau City Hall of the Working People Party, Sergei Toma, says that he voted for a non-politicised leadership of the City Hall and a good management of this institution. Statements to this effect have been made for IPN by the candidate after he exercised his right to vote.

Sergei Toma claims that he has voted for a mayor who can form teams, develop projects, which can bring in investments offered by the European Union and Romania.

Sergei Toma believes there will be a second round of elections.

For general mayor of Chisinau municipality, 18 candidates are competing. As general mayor of Chisinau municipality shall be elected the candidate who has accumulated 50% + one vote. If none of the candidates manages to cross this threshold, the second round of elections is organized with the first two candidates, where the winner is the one who has accumulated the greatest number of votes.
