The national Under-18 football team of Moldova will take part in the traditional international tournament “Development Cup” that will be held in Belarus on January 15-22. Moldova will be led by the new coach Sergei Kirilov, who previously trained Real-Succes, IPN reports.

In the past, Kirilov also coached the national Under-16 and Under-21 teams. He trained the latter during four years, during 2008-2011. As a footballer, Kirilov played for five countries, namely Moldova, Romania, Belgium, Russia, and Iran, for such clubs as Zimbru, Cherleroi and Rapid Bucuresti.

In the tournament “Development Cup”, the Under-18 team will compete in Group B alongside Russia, Belgium, and Armenia. The competition will involve 12 teams.
