Serafim Urecheanu slashes 2009 violence allegations
Serafim Urecheanu, leader of the extinct Moldova Noastra Alliance (AMN) Party, sharply criticized the young people who accused him and other politicians of being responsible for the violence on 7 April 2009, labeling them “headless”.
“This nonsense needs no comments. I don’t want to lose time on these young people who seem to be still high on the marijuana they spoke about. They have dark circles around the eyes, aren’t educated and seem to have never received a parental beating. This nonsense and insinuations are worth no attention”, Serafim Urecheanu told Info-Prim Neo.
Serafim Urecheanu said there was no leisure facility in Vadul lui Voda that could host more than 200 people and the training of 1,500 persons would have been spotted by the special services. “Their yelping was pathetic at this so-called press conference was organized by those who want to make sure to undermine stability in this country.
“Moreover, I’ve never been at Vadul lui Voda together with Chirtoaca and Filat”, said Urecheanu.
The former AMN leader thinks that someone may be trying to destabilize the situation before the 20th anniversary of Moldova's Independence. “I'm not trying to imply that someone is behind them. They are most likely some idiots, headless persons who should see a psychiatrist”, said Serafim Urechean.
On Thursday, August 11, two young people that professed to be members of extremist groups allegedly involved in the 2009 protests, held a press conference to accuse the Liberal Party, the Liberal-Democratic Party and the Moldova Noastra Alliance of scheming everything.
