Separatists disconnect Corjova secondary school from power supply

The secondary school in Corjova village that is located on the left bank of the Nistru remained without electricity on May 31, before holding the Last Bell Ring festivities. Promo-Lex Association chairman Ion Manole said it happened after the schools’ head was called to the militia station on the eve and warned not to hoist the flag and play Moldova’s anthem during the festivities, Info-Prim Neo reports. “Constantin Sucitu asked our authorities to provide assistance and enforce the law, but received no answer. In the morning, officials of the Dubasari police commissariat recommended that they should not raise the flag and play the anthem so as not to provoke disputes. The school head agreed and obeyed the instructions, but now is unable to hold the school year closing ceremony,” said Ion Manole. He also said that the situation on May 31 and September 1 is much the same. “If the constitutional authorities allow it, the separatists continue to flagrantly violate the Constitution of Moldova and the human rights. The official Chisinau knows the problem and should not start dealing with it on the last 100 meters as they can do nothing then,” said Ion Manole. The chairman of Promo-Lex Association believes that the Prosecutor’s Office is responsible for the things that happen in Corjova. “Unfortunately, the human rights for the Moldovan authorities are not so important. The Prosecutor’s Office should act professionally and investigate every incident and problem, send the cases to court and announce the persons who are to blame for the violation of the law and human rights,” he stated.
