The borer guards at the Bender checkpoint have once again stopped US diplomats on Wednesday, May 23, who were travelling by a vehicle of the Embassy to a beforehand planned meeting in Tiraspol, the US Embassy in Chisinau announces. The Embassy is indignant at this “continuous obstruction of the normal diplomatic activity”, mentioning that this is the fifth time that American diplomats are prohibited from travelling to Tiraspol. 10 days ago, the Transnistrian forces stopped another car with American diplomats, who were going to the Transnistrian region. The reason set forth by the separatists was that such visits should be agreed with the separatist bodies.
