A man from Chisinau was sentenced to 5 years of prison and fined 500 conventional units for committing the infraction of influence peddling, Info-Prim Neo has learnt from the press service by the General Prosecutor’s Office. According to prosecutors, the man asked and received 10,900 euros from a person, pretending to have influence on some judges from the Chisinau Appelate Court. Pursuing profits, he promised to influence the judges in pronouncing a milder sentence by Chisinau’s Centru Court upon the condemned, that is less than 10 years and 6 months. The Buiucani Court’s sentence can be sued.
