A 61-year-old man was sentenced to 11 years in jail because he shot a foreign exchange owner from Fălești town. The sentence was passed by the Bălți Court in ten years of the commission of the murder, IPN reports.
The Prosecutor General’s Office said that the homicide occurred inside a foreign exchange on December 23, 2012. As a result of hostility that appeared spontaneously between the aggressor and the victim, the culprit fired three shots at the latter. The victim suffered fatal injuries.
The man aged 61 was sentenced to 11 years behind bars for premeditated murder. The sentence is not final and can be challenged in the Bălți Appeals Court within 15 days.
