Moldovan senior officials gave their condolences to the Russian people in connection with the Kemerovo shopping center fire of March 25 that claimed over 50 lives, IPN reports.
“In the name of the Government of the Republic of Moldova and in my name, I express our sincere condolences and solidarity with the Russian people in these hard moments. Sincere condolences to the families and relatives of the victims and fast recovery to those who were hurt,” says a letter of condolence addressed by Prime Minister Pavel Filip to his counterpart Dmitry Medvedev.
“We learned about the fire in the shopping center in Kemerovo that resulted in many casualties with deep sadness,” President Igor Dodon wrote in his message to the Russian President Vladimir Putin. “In these difficult moments for all Russians, in the name of the Moldovan people and in my name, I offer our sincere condolences.”
Over 50 people died in a fire that engulfed a shopping and entertainment complex in the Siberian coal-mining city of Kemerovo. Many of the victims are children. Several dozen people are still listed as missing.
