Sheriff is the only team that qualified for the semifinals of Moldova’s Football Cup. The team from Tiraspol beat at home Milsami 4-1, IPN reports.
Columbian player Frank Castaneda scored three goals, two of which from a penalty kick. Greek footballer Dimitrios Kolovos scored once, while the goal of honor of the guests was scored by Maxim Antoniuc.
The other three matches of the quarterfinals ended as follows: Sfîntul Gheorghe - Speranța 5-1, FC Florești - Petrocub 1-2 and Dinamo-Auto - Codru 2-1.
In the semifinals, Sheriff meets Petrocub, while Sfîntul Gheorghe plays Dinamo-Auto. The draw to decide the hosts will be held on April 22, at 10am. The matches of the semifinals were scheduled for May 4, while the final will take place in Chisinau on May 30.
