Milsami - Sfîntul Gheorghe and Sheriff - Dinamo-Auto are the encounters arranged for the semifinals of the Football Cup of Moldova. Dinamo-Auto was close to failing to qualify for the semifinals, IPN reports.
The team trained by Igor Dobrovolski was able to beat FC Bălți away only as a result of the penalty shootout. The normal period of the game ended by 1-1 and the teams scored by two goals in overtime. In the penalty shootout, Dinamo-Auto won by 4-3 after goalkeeper Maxim Bardîș projected away the ball sent by the halfback from Madagascar Zotsara Randriambololona.
Milsami defeated Zimbru 3-0 away. The “red eagles” were leading by 2-0 after the goals scored by Sergiu Istrati and Igor Lambarschi. Mamadou Camara set the final scoreline in the 86th minute with a superb 16-meter kick.
Sheriff demolished Petrocub 4-0. Cedric Badolo scored two goals, with Brazilians Pernambuco and Bruno also scoring by one goal.
Sfîntul Gheorghe reached the semifinals after FC Florești withdrew from the competition. The matches of the semifinals of the Football Cup of Moldova were set for April 26.
