The court ordered the seizure of goods in the amount of over three million lei in the Chisinau Urban Bus Park tender and procurement case. There have been seized several luxury vehicles and apartments belonging to the suspects in the criminal case regarding the purchase of 31 “Isuzu” model buses for the capital, IPN reports.

According to the Prosecutor's Office for Combating Organized Crime and Special Cases, at the present stage there are four suspects investigated in the exercise of their decision-making duties in the public administration.

As a result of the carried out investigations, on November 8, the criminal investigation on charges of large-scale money laundering was initiated. And as a result of the court hearings this week, prosecutors confiscated the suspects’ assets.

If convicted, the suspects risk a fine of up to 117,500 lei or imprisonment of up to five years.
