The 37 territorial-administrative units have stored the quantity of seeds needed for autumn sowing. According to Dumitru Rusu, deputy head of the State Seed Inspectorate, there were stored 104.34 tonnes of winter wheat and barley seeds. The necessary volume was assessed at 94.5 tonnes, Info- Prim Neo reports. As many as 350 tonnes of rape seeds are needed for autumn sowing. But there were stored 650 tonnes of rape seeds, including the supplies of the previous years. As Dumitru Rusu said, the summer floods affected a part of the property of the seed farmsteads. But effort was made to make sure that all the agricultural producers use seeds of a high quality in autumn. Specialists of the zonal seed inspectorates are now testing the quality of the seeds in laboratories.
