Secretary of state at Foreign Affairs Ministry named ambassador to Switzerland

The secretary of state at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Tatiana Molchan was appointed Moldova’s ambassador to the Swiss Confederation. The decree was signed by President Igor Dodon, IPN reports.

“Missis Molchan has rather rich experience of work in the diplomatic institution of our country, but this will be her first experience as an ambassador. Together with Minister Oleg Țulea and presidential adviser on foreign policy Aureliu Ciocoi, we discussed with her our country’s cooperation prospects with Switzerland and wished her success in her duties as an ambassador, underlining the importance of strengthening the cooperation relations with Switzerland, which plays a significant role in European and international politics,” President Dodon posted on Facebook.

Moldova’s Embassy in the Swiss Confederation is based in Geneva and also fulfills the duties of the representative office to the UN Office, the WHO and other international organizations.
