The secretary of the district organization of the Party of Socialists (PSRM) in Ceadir-Lunga was reinstated in the post by the decision of the Supreme Court of Justice, which ruled in favor of this in a case concerning a conflict at work. The announcement was made by representatives of the Coordinating Board of the Socialist Platform “Patria-Rodina” in a news conference at IPN.
Piotr Curdoglo, who won the case, said he was unjustly fired from the post of secretary two years ago, for the reason that he was absent from work. “I was included in a project of the local nursery school No. 8, which was implemented by the Social Investment Fund. I was invited there two times. They considered these were groundless absences, even if I fulfilled two duties simultaneously. I proved in court that those weren’t absences,” stated Piotr Curdoglo.
According to one of the coordinators of the Board of the Socialist Platform “Patria-Rodina” Valentin Krylov, Curdoglo was dismissed for party-related reasons. “In a news conference given together with Piotr Curdoglo two years ago, I spoke about a number of serious violations of the Labor Code, identified by the Labor Inspectorate, such as the non-payment of salaries during five months, non-provision of the annual paid leave on time and the fact that Piotr Curdoglo, submitting an application for annual paid leave, didn’t receive the allowance to which he was entitled. One week after this conference, Piotr Curdoglo was fired,” stated Krylov.
Curdoglo said the PSRM’s secretary for financial matters imposed a condition on him: he will receive the money if he tenders his resignation voluntarily. On November 11, 2013, Piotr Curdoglo was discharged. The dismissal decision was challenged in court. After a trial that lasted for two years, the Supreme Court of Justice ruled in his favor and obliged the leader of the PSRM Igor Dodon to pay him damages.
The Socialist Platform “Patria-Rodina” was created by representatives of the Party of Socialists on May 29, 2013.
