The results of the public contests to choose secretaries of state will be made public in two weeks. Iurie Ciocan, head of the Government’s Reform Implementation Center, said 33 candidates for secretaries of state at the nine ministries are to be selected. The deadline for submissions was October 16, IPN reports.
“There were submitted 120 applications. Some of these were accepted and transmitted further for checking the integrity of candidates. Others were rejected because they didn’t contain all the required information. For the Ministry of Justice, the contest was extended as only one application was filed. In several days, after we receive the appraisal of the National Integrity Authority, we will start to interview the applicants,” stated Iurie Ciocan.
In the October 25 meeting of the Cabinet, there were presented the seven secretaries general of state that passed the contest. The deadline for submissions for occupying the posts of secretaries general of state at the Ministry of the Interior and the Ministry of Finance was extended.
The winners of the contests to fill the posts of secretaries general of state at ministries are: Radu Burduja – Ministry of Defense; Boris Galca – Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection; Anatolie Munteanu – Ministry of Justice, Mihail Capatana – Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration; Igor Sharov – Ministry of Education, Culture and Research; Iulia Iabanji-Costin – Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure, and Iurie Usurelu – Ministry of Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment.
