The Government on August 9 approved the resignations of a number of secretaries of state at ministries and of agency heads. It also made new appointments, IPN reports.
Among the secretaries of state who left are Gabriela Cuneva of the Ministry of Finance, Iuliana Dragalin, Mihail Lupașcu and Mariana Botezatu of the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure, Daniela Cujbă, Dumitru Socolan and Gheorghe Leucă of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, Alexandru Pleșca and Tatiana Tverdun of the Ministry of Justices.
As from August 10, Moldova’s former Ambassador to Sweden Veaceslav Dobîndă will take up as secretary of state at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, while Veronica Mihailov-Morari at the Ministry of Justice.
Secretaries of state at the Ministry of Home Affairs Mariana Grama, Cornel Lebedinschi, Gheorghe Balan, Sergiu Golovaci also vacated their seats, as did Aurel Fondus and Vladimir Iliev of the Ministry of Defense and Mihai Machedon, Tatiana Nistorică and Gennady Iurco of the Ministry of Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment.
Instead, Sergiu Diaconu was named secretary of state at the Ministry of Home Affairs, while Rosain Vasiloi as head of the General Border Police Inspectorate for a five-year term. Valeriu Mija and Sergiu Plop will serve as secretaries of state at the Ministry of Defense.
Sergiu Gherciu and Rodica Iordanov will take up as secretaries of state at the Ministry of Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment.
Ivan Gheorghiu, Natalia Grâu and Anatolie Topală were dismissed as secretaries of state at the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research. Anatolie Topală was earlier appointed as Minister of Education.
Tatiana Zatîc left the post of secretary of state at the Ministry of Health, with Zinaida Bezverhnîi and Svetlana Nicolăiescu being named secretaries of state at this Ministry instead.
Also, Anatolie Ghilaș resigned as head of the Land Relations and Cadaster Agency, Elena Belyakova – as director general of the Interethnic Relations Agency, Gennady Țepordei – as director general of the Public Property Agency, Viorel Iustin - as director general of the State Agency on Intellectual Property, while Valentina Buliga – as director general of the National Health Insurances Company.
