The fifth-ninth graders will also be fed free of charge at school, as the first-fourth graders are. The relevant calculations will be presented soon and the state will allocate the funds needed for the purpose together with the local public authorities.

“Besides the holy duty to make sure the students are healthy, we should also boost their immune system,” Prime Minister Ion Chicu stated after a meeting with the President and the Parliament Speaker on February 3.

Asked by IPN to provide details, deputy mayor of Chisinau Angela Kutasevich said free breakfasts at school are now provided to the first-fourth graders and also the fifth-ninth graders who come from socially deprived families.
