The second stage of enrolment of children of school age in the first grade through the online platform escoala.chisinau.md started in the capital city. Parents can file applications for the available places until August 29, deputy head of the General Division of Education, Youth and Sport Andrei Pavaloi stated in the ordinary meeting of officials of municipal services, IPN reports.

At the first stage of enrolment between April 1 and June 13, applications were submitted to institutions according to the domicile address. A total of 10,271 applications were filed by June 20 and 4,638 of them were transferred for the second stage.

There were distributed 10,316 places in 389 classes of 140 education institutions, including private ones.

According to the regulations on online enrolment of first graders of the General Division of Education, Youth and Sport, all the children from the corresponding school district who turned seven before the start of the school year are registered in the first grade.
