The second round of the mayoral elections in Topala village of Cimislia district will take place on July 12, IPN reports.

According to the Central Election Commission, the ballot includes the first two candidates who polled the largest number of votes in the June 28 elections – Ivan Gribinet, of the Democratic Party, and Nadejda Costas, of the Liberal Democratic Party.

New elections were held in Topala on June 28 because the voting process there was interrupted by a group of candidates for local councilor who devastated the polling place for the reason that persons from other settlements were allowed to vote there.
