Second Moldovan-Romanian justice forum to take place this week

The second Moldovan-Romanian justice forum will be held in Bucharest on November 23-24, 2017. Secretary general at the Ministry of Justice Anatolie Munteanu, in the weekly press briefing, said the subjects that will be raised in the forum refer to the justice sector reform and the fight against corruption in the European perspective. “By this forum, the Republic of Moldova’s European course and justice are supported,” IPN quoted Anatolie Munteanu as saying.

According to the secretary general, experience exchange between the two states will be ensured and the bilateral cooperation in the field will be improved. “There will be staged several panel discussions on the optimization of the functioning of the judicial system, the role and place of the prosecutor in the judicial system and prevention and combating of corruption and organized crime,” said Anatolie Munteanu.

He noted that in the forum the National Probation Inspectorate of Moldova and the National Probation Directorate of Romania will sign a memorandum on the exchange of programs, reintegration probation projects, experience exchange in the field of activity, professional training of personnel and players involved in probation and development of cooperation mechanisms to ensure the surveillance of persons on probation.
