Second Classfest Festival to be held in Chisinau Apr. 2-7
The Second International Festival of Theater Schools ClassFest will be held in Chisinau during April 2-7 and will also include a film section, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The event is organized by the Moldovan Academy of Music, Theater and Plastic Art, with the support of the Ministry of Culture, the Russian Embassy, the Romanian Culture Institute “Mihai Eminescu” and the Moldovan Union of Moviemakers.
This year's Festival will bring together over 140 theater students and teachers from 9 countries: Moldova, Romania, Ukraine, Russia, Belarus, Poland, Germany, Georgia, Slovakia and the Czech Republic.
Svetlana Tirtau, the Festival's director, said that the event aimed to promote new talents and provide an opportunity for the participants to share experience in theater and film-making.
“The novelty of this year's Festival is the film section. It will feature action movies, documentaries and dramas. All the films will be screened at Odeon Cinema. Entrance will be free to all the plays and films shown as part of the Festival”, said Svetlana Tirtau.
The plays will be staged at the theaters Luceafarul, Licurici, Guguta, Ginta Latina, Mihai Eminescu, A.P. Chekhov and at the Academy of Music, Theater and Plastic Art.
The Festival's young participants will also have the opportunity to attend two creation workshops on acting held by Janusz Stolarski from the Polish School of Theater, Film and Television, and an acting class held by David Esrig, actor and director from the Munich School of Theater and Film Athanor.
