The National Anticorruption Center and prosecutors are performing searches at the municipal company “Central Market” in Chisinau within a criminal case, IPN reports.

National Anticorruption Center spokeswoman Angela Starinschi said the criminal case was started over misuse of power by decision makers of the market’s administration, who collected informal payments from persons renting trading places.

The searches are carried out in the Market’s administrative block and at the homes of administration members.
