Scorteni explosion under examination

The prosecutors ordered performing a technical-criminal and medical-legal examination in the case concerning the explosion that happened in Scorteni village of Telenesti district. The criminal case was opened over killing of a person out of inattention, Info-Prim Neo has learned from the Prosecutor General’s Office.
The explosion that occurred on July 8 at about 7pm resulted in the death of a 32-year-old man. The victim was building a fence in the yard where the blast happened.
According to the preliminary investigation results, it was a 75-76 caliber shell dating from the Second World War that exploded. It may have been brought together with the land conveyed from outside the village in order to even out the area where the fence was being built.
