Science Academy elects new members
The Academy of Sciences of Moldova elected 12 new academicians and 12 correspondent members at the General Assembly. Previously, the nominees were selected by the departments of the ASM, Info-Prim Neo reports.
According to the ASM Press Service, 28 candidates with Doctor Degrees competed for those 13 vacancies of correspondent members, 12 candidates being elected ultimately. The same number of candidates were elected for the title of academician.
The new academicians are Vladimir Arnautov, specialised in Mathematics, Victor Lacusta, specialised in human and animal Physiology, Ion Toderas, specialised in Zoology, Vitalie Postolati, specialised in Energy, Eva Gudmac, specialised in Paediatric Surgery, Mihai Popovici, specialised in Cardiology, Gherogeh Tabarna, specialised in Oncology, Boris Gaina, specialised in the Technology of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, Anatol Jacota, specialised in Genetics, Gheorghe Rusnac, specialised in Political Studies, Andrei Esanu, specialised in History, Mihai Dolgan, specialised in Literature.
The new correspondent members of the ASM are Grigore Belostecinic, specialised in Marketing and Logistics, Constantin Gaindric, specialised in Informatics, Dumitru Moldovan, specialised in World Economy. International Relations, Aurelian Gulea, specialised in Chemistry, Maria Duca, specialised in Biology, Ion Tighineanu, specialised in Microelectronics and microtechnologies, Leonid Luliuc, specialised in Physics, Alexandru Dicusar, specialised in electro-physics and electro-technology, Stanislav Groppa, specialised in internal diseases, Gheorghe Cimpoes, specialised in Agricultural Sciences, Andrei Palii, specialised in Agricultural Sciences, Gheorghe Mustea, specialised in Musical Art.
The last elections of ASM members took place 7 years ago.
