The general education institutions will be able to implement the electronic register by excluding records on paper. A relevant bill was proposed for public debates, IPN reports.
The electronic register is an application that can be accessed from any device that is connected to the Internet. The information that is introduced in the information system could be accessed by students and parents through the Personal Cabinet.
According to the Ministry of Education and Research, the instrument ensures daily supervision of student performance and attendance (tests/grades, comments, absences) and also data about the lesson (subject, homework, links for distance learning, etc.).
The information system Electronic Register has been piloted starting with the 2020-2021 school year in 190 general education institutions. Since 2021, this has been implemented at 379 national institutions, which is 31.12% of the total number of institutions.
The Ministry of Education noted the system ensures a high security level. The school managers can analyze the data in detail so as to improve the quality of organization of the education process.
“Digitalization and de-bureaucratization are frequently invoked by teachers. The electronic register is an important element that solves both of the problems. The schools will be able to switch over to the electronic register without keeping grade records on paper. This will facilitate and stimulate the introduction of this system in all the national schools,” said Minister of Education and Research Dan Perciun.
The electronic register can be implemented by the decision of the education institution. The institution will be connected following a request made by the manager to the Ministry of Education and Research.
