Schools, kindergartens and children’s hospitals to be connected to heat supply

Children’s hospitals, kindergartens and schools of Chisinau will be connected to the centralized heating system starting with October 10. The heating season for the housing sector will be opened when the average daytime temperature is +8 degrees Celsius during three consecutive days, IPN reports.

In the October 10 meeting of officials of Chisinau services and divisions, Health Division head Mihai Moldovanu said the Municipal Children’s Hospital No. 1, the Municipal Children’s Hospital “Valentin Ignatenko” and the Municipal Clinical Children’s Hospital of Infectious Diseases will be the first to be connected to the heat supply. They are also considering the possibility of heating the Chisinau maternity hospitals. The other medical institutions will be connected depending on the weather conditions.

Deputy mayor of Chisinau Nistor Grozavu said the inhabitants of the capital city can ask to be connected to the centralized heating system before the official opening of the heating season. For the purpose, the apartment building managers must make sure that the internal system is fully prepared for connection and have the technical passport signed. At least half of the dwellers of a building must give their consent for the block to be connected to the heat supply.
