School year end festivities held in schools all over Moldova

The bells rang in the national schools today to announce the end of the school year. On this occasion, Minister of Education and Research Anatolie Topală transmitted a message, saying that the school year end festivities are special this year as they were held again with physical presence after two years of pandemic, restrictions and online communication, IPN reports.

“The end of the school year is a new stage for all the generations. It is an occasion for satisfaction, accomplishment and pride for the results achieved during the school year – a real marathon with lessons, tests, breaks, homework and activities. This year of study also goes down in history. I thank everyone for coping with the challenges of this period and for helping overcome it,” stated the minister, urging everyone to be united and solidary for peace, freedom and prosperity.

Mayor of Chisinau Ion Ceban also transmitted a congratulatory message to the students whose vacation starts today, wishing success in exams to the future graduates and a lot of courage to teachers and parents. “Each of you has enormous potential that should be realized. I’m firmly convinced that you worked with devotion, developed your skills and became more prepared for the challenges of life. I wish you a summer full of discoveries, unique experiences and to return eager to gain new knowledge in autumn,” stated the mayor.

This year there are about 29,000 students who completed the fourth grade and approximately 18,000 lyceum graduates. The 2022 Baccalaureate session will take place on June 3-21. For ninth graders, the examination session start on June 2 with the exam in the Romanian language and literature for other language speaking students.
