The autumn vacation of school students starts on October 25 and ends on November 2 for the primary classes and on October 29 for the fifth-twelfth grades. The autumn vacation and the spring one are the shortest vacations of the school year. The winter vacation lasts from December 25, 2014 until January 11, 2015, IPN reports.

Contacted by IPN, head of the Chisinau General Division of Education, Youth and Sport Tatiana Nagnibeda-Tverdohleb said the autumn and spring vacations for the fifth-twelfth graders were shortened by two days compared with last year. Thus, the spring vacation for them begins on February 25 and closes on March 1, while for the fist-fourth graders – starts on February 21 and ends on March 1 too.

Instead, the Easter vacation will have the same length for all the students – from April 1 until April 19, 2015. This is the last vacation before the summer vacation that commences on June 1 and ends on August 31.
