The district, municipal, zonal and national school Olympiads were suspended due to the pandemic. An order to this effect was made by outgoing Minister of Education, Culture and Research Lilia Pogolșa, IPN reports.

The order says the Olympiads were put off for an indefinite period of time so as to ensure the security and protect the life and health of students owing to the unfavorable epidemiological situation caused by the novel coronavirus.

Under the program for 2021, 20 Olympiads in school subjects were to be held in secondary education institutions starting with February.
