The menus at general education institutions of Chisinau include too much pasta and not enough fruit, the local Public Health Center’s commission that launched a campaign to inspect the cooking facilities of municipal schools and lyceums on September 5 ascertained, IPN reports.
According to the Center’s director Luminita Suveica, after examining three education institutions, the commission established that the sanitary-hygienic conditions in the cooking facilities of these were satisfactory.
Luminita Suveica recommended the education institutions to introduce fruit and vegetables in the daily menus for children. The inspections will last for a month and the Public Health Center will later provide a report.
