Starting with next January, all the pre-university education institutions of the country will be inspected. Based on the results, the inspectors will advise the teachers and school managers what to do to improve the teaching and managerial activities, IPN reports.
Minister of Education Maia Sandu said the inspectors will produce a monitoring report that will be published on the institution’s official website. Thus, the parents will be able to compare the schools so as to make the best choice for their children.
“We will make effort to ensure full transparency in the work of all the schools, from the financial resources spent to the methods of teaching and of ensuring the children’s success,” said Maia Sandu. She added that the performance is determined not based on the grades in the Baccalaureate exams, but on the institution’s level of activity, underlining that competition will appear between the education institutions as a result of these reports.
The creation of a national school inspectorate is provided in the Strategy “Education 2020” that was proposed for public debates.
