School in Borceag renovated with U. S. support

The school in Borceag village of Cahul district was renovated with the support of the United States of America, which allocated over US$ 50,000.

The project completion event involved U.S. ambassador James Pettit. The official was met with many smiles by happy children.

In a press release, the U.S. Embassy to Moldova said these projects represent the close relationship between the people in Moldova and those in the United States. Such projects strengthen the bilateral relationship and prove the firm commitment of the U.S. to assist its partner Moldova in bringing essential services to each region of this country.

The school’s principal Alexandru Gaibu has told IPN that there were renovated the sanitary facilities built in 1972, which were nonfunctional. After the renovation, the students have access to hot water. There was also repaired the gym.
