The scholarship for unemployed persons enrolled in professional training courses was raised from 15% to 35% of the average official salary for the previous year. Parliament adopted a bill to this effect in the final reading, IPN reports.

In accordance with the amendments made to the legislation, the persons out of work who start a business will get a subsidy that was raised from 50% to 80%, but not more than 20 average salaries for the previous year, of the costs incurred for starting the business. 

The three-month period following dismissal or resignation after which the persons who get redundancy pays can receive unemployment benefit was excluded.

Also, the period for employing and keeping the workplace by employers that receive subsidizes for creating jobs or adjusting the workplace for persons with disabilities was reduced from 18 to 12 months.

Simultaneously, the procedure for obtaining a license for helping Moldovans find a job abroad and for suspending this license will be simplified.
