Over 200 students who were awarded scholarships within the project “Additional scholarships for young people from disadvantaged families” on March 31 took part in a personal and professional development seminar, where they discussed different methods and techniques of looking for a job, Info-Prim Neo reports. “It is hard for a graduate to orient on the labor market and to find a secure job through online resources or by using the services of specialized institutions. We try to offer them different possibilities. They will decide which are the most useful and can be used,” said Irina Olaru, project coordinator at the Educational Advising Center. Seminar moderator Gheorghe Caraseni, management consultant, considers that in order to achieve results on the labor market, one should not only know what they are looking for, but also how to do it. The scholars were provided with electronic addresses and information about the institutions that offer jobs, the opportunities on the market and how to successfully pass an interview for a job. The seminar “Efficient Job Looking Strategies” is the second of the kind this year. Another seminar themed “Internet – Source of Infinite Possibilities” will take place next week. The project “Additional scholarships for young people from disadvantaged families” was launched by the Educational Advising Center last April and is implemented with support from the Emergency Fund, being administered through Soros Foundation Moldova, in partnership with the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Labor, Social Protection and Family.
